Template notice. This page is a starting draft. Replace every placeholder in [square brackets] with your own details, and have a qualified adviser review the legal pages before you rely on them. Nothing here is legal advice.
This page sets out how [SITE NAME] decides what to publish and how we handle the things that could compromise it. Last updated [DATE].
What we cover
Traditional card and board games, their digital versions, and the studios that build them. We prioritise material with lasting value — rules, strategy, mechanics and history — over news and promotions.
How articles are produced
- Research. Rules are checked against standard references and, where they vary, we say so rather than presenting one house rule as universal.
- Hands-on. Reviews of software are based on using it. Where we have not used something directly, we say so.
- Review. Every article is read by someone other than the writer before publication.
- Dating. Articles carry a publication date, and substantive updates are dated too.
Reviews
Our reviews assess game design, interface and production quality. They are editorial opinion.
What a review is not: a recommendation to gamble, an endorsement of an operator, or a claim that a game can be beaten. We assess how something is made, not whether you should spend money on it.
We write about shortcomings as readily as strengths. A review that finds nothing to criticise is usually a review that was not done properly.
Commercial relationships
[Describe your actual arrangements here, plainly. If you accept advertising, run affiliate links, or publish sponsored content, say so. The sections below are a template.]
- Advertising is sold separately from editorial. Advertisers have no sight of or influence over articles before publication.
- Sponsored content, if published, is clearly labelled at the top of the article.
- Affiliate links, if used, are disclosed in the article that contains them.
- No commercial relationship earns a favourable review, and no review is altered at an advertiser’s request.
Our position on gambling promotion
We do not publish content whose purpose is to drive readers to deposit money, and we do not accept commercial arrangements that require it.
Given that online gambling is illegal for citizens in Malaysia and that India prohibits online money games under the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act 2025, promotional content of that kind would be inappropriate for much of our readership regardless of commercial terms.
Corrections
When we get something wrong we fix it, and we say that we fixed it.
- Minor errors — typographical or formatting — are corrected silently.
- Factual errors are corrected and a dated note is added at the foot of the article.
- Substantial errors that change an article’s conclusion get a note at the top.
Report an error to [CORRECTIONS EMAIL] with the article link and the specific claim. We aim to respond within [NUMBER] working days.
Updating older articles
Rules guides and strategy pieces are reviewed periodically. Where law or a product has changed materially, we update the article and change the date rather than leaving outdated information in place.
Sources
Where an article relies on a specific external fact — a law, a regulator’s register, a published figure — we name the source in the text so readers can check it.
Authors
Articles are bylined and each author has a profile page. We do not publish under invented names, and we do not present syndicated or machine-generated text as original reporting.
